Job Summary

We are looking for trade qualified, experienced conveyor technicians and riggers for ongoing shutdown work at RIO, BHP, ROY HILL and FMG sites to carry out various areas of maintenance.

  • Freedom of choice working as part of Premier People's Conveyor Maintenance crew

About The Role

Premier People's Shut Down division supplies skilled and experienced trades and skilled labour to mine sites across WA. Our core crew of 75+ individuals mobilise to BHPIO, FMG, Roy Hill and Rio Tinto sites to carry out the following areas of maintenance:

  • Chute and plate maintenance
  • Screen maintenance
  • Crusher maintenance
  • Skirt replacement and adjustment
  • Roller inspections and replacements
  • Pulley refurbishments and replacements
  • Belt Cleaner maintenance; installations and upgrades of scrapers

In this role we are looking for quality people who hold a High-Risk Work License for DG and RB to join our team as a ‘Conveyor Technician’ to carry out the above highlighted maintenance on an ongoing basis!

You will be required to operate belt lifters; comealongs and use additional tooling such as: Spreader bars; rattle guns, etc. Tooling will be provided to technicians.

Skills and experience

Successful applicants must have rights to work in Australia and hold the below qualifications. Previous experience working with Hard and Soft Skirts and Idlers (Trough; Returns; Impacts) erred but not essential.

Successful applicants will be required to complete additional VOC and training.
